Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. An attractive, clever and gifted actress, she's a great example to Asian actors who want to be big stars in Hollywood. She gained fame after a number of popular early role in shows. The most notable was The Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. The actress took her initial fame into major screen roles in movies including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Following that, she gave an an excellent role in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime lord O Ren Ishii. In addition, she played lead roles in box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Following that, she began to play characters that were prominent in animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen characters, failed to achieve any success. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland helped re-establish herself as an actress of note. Liu selects her roles with utmost care so that she doesn't get cast in an industry that is competitive. She has taken on her Chinese heritage but she doesn't allow it to limit her artistically.
